What is BISTRO M's
BISTRO M’s is a project with a focus on "food and beauty," launched by Momotanijuntenkan, a cosmetic company that has pursued beauty and health for more than 135 years since its founding.
Our research has found that beautiful skin has a high correlation with daily diet and the intestinal environment. We have launched a new project that enables people to live a more beautiful and healthier daily life just by enjoying tasty food made from a recipe created by our chefs based on research findings.
Our commitment reflected in the name
A "bistro" is French for a small, casual restaurant serving food at modest prices. BISTRO M’s was named in the hope that under the new normal, which requires people to reconsider their movements, including dining out, people can enjoy a gourmet meal at home.
Our Story
The history of Momotanijuntenkan dates back to 1885. Masajiro Momotani, who later became the founder of Momotanijuntenkan, headed for Tokyo to study the latest pharmaceutical science at Tokyo Imperial University (currently the University of Tokyo). In those days, when the rail system had not been developed yet, it was said that going to Tokyo beyond the mountains and the sea was a life-threatening journey. After hard work as a disciple of Dr. Ikujiro Sakurai, a renowned specialist in the field of Western medicine, Masajiro created "BIGANSUI Acne Lotion" by employing a Western medicine formula for the first time in Japan. Since then, Momotanijuntenkan has been committed to the well-being of people by helping them achieve beautiful skin and thereby enriching their mind, which is our corporate philosophy. With our motto of " Try and Learn," we have continued to proactively take on a new challenge,

BISTRO M’s is designed to serve food that can resolve negative aspects related to food—including waste of food provided to restaurants, agricultural impacts, restrictions on people’s movements, and tiredness from housework—and that helps people to live a more beautiful and healthier daily life just by enjoying tasty food.
Amid a situation in which it is required for people to keep their distance from others, we deliver hot meals, which helps people mentally stay connected despite their being far apart physically, to their homes.
